Who are we?

Missing Link – Safe Housing & Mental Health Support for Women

Are you struggling with mental health challenges or housing instability? Missing Link is here for you. Since 1983, we have helped women find safety, stability, and support to rebuild their lives.

Why choose Missing Link?

We know that safe, women-only spaces matter. Many women feel more comfortable and secure accessing support designed specifically for them. If you need help, we’re here to listen and support you.

For help and support, call our Missing Link team on 0117 925 1811  Mon to Fri  9am–5pm

Help is also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by phoning NHS 111 and pressing 2 for mental health support. You can also call The Samaritans on 116 123.

Last year, Missing Link offered a range of support services to 904 women

Link House, our Women’s Crisis House is one of 28 organisations chosen worldwide by the World Health Organisation as a model of best practice in promoting a person-centred, recovery and rights based approach in mental health.

216 women completed the Link House client survey

97% said they felt their mental health has improved

97% said they would recommend Link House to a friend

Our Help When You Need It Service supported 129 women by triage and accepted 396 women into full service

The connections between mental ill health, domestic abuse and sexual violence is well evidenced, which places our services in the unique position of offering a range of support options that draws on the combined skills of the three services.

All three services have been influential in raising public awareness of the needs of women with mental ill health and victims and survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, whilst challenging myths and stereotypes that create barriers for women and survivors accessing support that works for them.
