Support from our Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs) is available across different organisations and settings including:
Families in Focus
Based in the Family Support hubs our IDVAs consult with FIF key workers and Children’s Centre staff to help recognise domestic violence and abuse, improving professional responses and support for victims and survivors and offer direct support and advocacy to survivors.
Housing
Domestic abuse is a leading cause of homelessness, and our Housing IDVA supports survivors when they come to the attention of Housing Services. Providing support to high risk victims, we give advice and training to housing staff so they are able to spot the signs of domestic abuse and prevent families from becoming homeless.
